MNP (Mobile Number Portability) In India

What is MNP?Mobile number portability gives the telecom customers an opportunity to change their mobile operator without changing their present mobile number.If you are facing any
network connectivity problems or whether you are fed up with the plans of your present mobile operator then you can port your number to any other mobile network in India.
Procedure for MNP is as follows:
1.You should be using the present mobile operator for the past 3months(90 days) then only you can utilise MNP
2.Send an sms from your mobile number PORT to 1900 pls note this msg is chargeable if you dont have any sms offers
3.You'll receive a reply message giving your unique porting id
4.Now go to a mobile shop and give your unique porting id along with a photo and a  valid proof
5.Tell them to which network you want to change & they will give the form to fill up
6.You'll be charge Rs 19 to activate MNP (no charge to move to Bsnl)
7.Your new sim will be activated within a maximum of 7 days
